Poland | "I Inherit What You Lost" Artistic Laboratory
Floating EKA is calling for applications from artists from Eastern Partnership countries and Central Asia (including Kazakhstan) to be part of the "I Inherit What You Lost" artistic laboratory in Szczecin, Poland, in March 2024.
The project is looking for artists passionate about exploring the heritage that reminded us of challenging times in the 20th century in Eastern Europe, Eastern Partnership countries and Central Asia. It Will explore the hidden gems of "dissonant heritage" within cities, offering the artists a platform to craft meaningful and impactful artworks.
At the core of the initiative is a 3-day Artistic Laboratory in Szczecin, Poland, set for the end of March 2024. It will bring together activists, researchers, opinion leaders, and 10–12 artists from Eastern Partnership countries and Central Asia.
Throughout the Virtual Lab, artists will collaborate closely with project curators to refine and develop their artistic concepts, preparing them for execution and presentation at the exhibition in Szczecin upon arrival.
What artists will get:
- Support for their travel expenses to Szczecin (Poland), as well as accommodation and meal provisions throughout the 3-day artistic laboratory
- Necessary documents for a Schengen visa (although the process will be managed by artists)
- Micro-funding of up to 100 EUR to each artist to support the production costs
