Pro Helvetia co-creation grants 2024

Pro Helvetia is calling for applications from artists or collectives for co-creation grants between the regions of the liaison offices and Switzerland.

Tandems who are active in any of the disciplines supported by Pro Helvetia, with one part of the tandem based in Switzerland and the other in one of the regions of Pro Helvetia’s liaison offices (including East Asia and South Asia), can apply.

Selection criteria

At least one member of the tandem has completed a research trip or a residency that was supported by Pro Helvetia (digital, live, hybrid). Alternatively, applicants may provide references of their previous collaborations in Switzerland and/or in a region of the liaison offices (at least two to three projects).

One member of the tandem has a Swiss passport or permanent residency in Switzerland, exhibits their work in nationally renowned, recognised institutions and can verify that they are active in national networks.

The application must be co-developed by both tandem partners.

Co-creation processes can be supported for a maximum duration of 15 months.

Support

A maximum grant of CHF 25,000 may include:

  • Artists’ fees
  • Travel costs for both tandem participants
  • Costs associated with the co-creation process and with planned activities including material costs, equipment hire, transport costs, etc.
