Salzburg Global Seminar | call for rapporteur

None

Salzburg Global Seminar is putting out a call for a Rapporteur to report on the 4th annual Salzburg Global Forum for Young Cultural Innovators, taking place at Schloss Leopoldskron in Salzburg, Austria from October 14 to 19, 2017.

The program offers an opportunity for YCIs to participate in a week-long, intensive seminar in Salzburg and connect with fifty young cultural innovators from around the world. The five-day program in Salzburg combines theory and practice, with keynote presentations focusing on “big picture” issues facing the cultural sector and with skills-building sessions on entrepreneurial thinking, communicating mission and message, leadership, and organizational development.

The Rapporteur attends the Forum and is responsible for creating a journalistic style piece of writing which encapsulates the activities, discussion topics and, themes. This piece of writing will form the basis of a final session report, distributed after the session to Salzburg Global networks.

It would be beneficial for those applying to have an understanding of the cultural and arts sector, and experience of writing about visual and performing arts, literature, and cultural heritage, food, fashion, architecture, or design. Excellent written English and analytical skills are essential. The Rapporteur will receive a modest honorarium, room and board, and travel costs.
