Seoul | MMCA Residency Changdong - call for artists & researchers
MMCA - National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea: open international calls for the International Artists Residency Program 2017 and the MMCA Residency International Research Fellowship Program 2017. The programmes are open to visual artists and curators, critics, art researchers from outside Korea.

MMCA Residency Changdong - International Artists Residency Program 2017
MMCA Residency Changdong, run by the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea (MMCA), is now receiving applications for the International Artists Residency Program 2017. MMCA Residency Changdong, established in 2002, aims to provide a supportive environment for art practice and foster creative artistic exchanges between artists and various art professionals.
■ Application Period: Monday, 5 September ~ Friday, 30 September, 2016

* Application Deadline: 18:00 in Korean time, Friday, 30 September, 2016
■ Discipline: Visual Arts
■ Residency Period: please choose one term only
- 1st term: 13 April - 22 June, 2017 (1 artist)
- 2nd term: 4 July - 13 September, 2017 (1 artist)
- 3rd term: 20 September - 7 December, 2017 (1 artist)
* Early move-in and late move-out are not allowed.
■ Number of Artists: 1 Artist for each term/ 3 Artists in total
* If the jury does not find suitable candidates, MMCA Residency may not fulfill the total number of artists.
■ Venue: MMCA Residency Changdong (257 Deongneung-ro, Dobong-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea)
■ Nationality: All regions of the world (except Korea)
■ Eligibility
- Who are over 25 years old
- Who have not previously participated in a residency program of MMCA Residency (Changdong/ Goyang)
- Who are fluent in English (required)
* Only individual artists, not duo or team. Work partners, assistants, and family members are not allowed to stay at the residency together.
International Research Fellowship Program 2017
MMCA Residency, run by the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea (MMCA), launches an International Research Fellowship Program for curators, critics, and researchers. This research program aims to provide a sustainable platform to developing global networks and facilitate collaborative programming among art professionals.

- Who have not previously participated in a residency program of MMCA Residency (Changdong/ Goyang)
