Serendipity Arles grant 2023–24 for South Asian artists

Serendipity Arts, Les Rencontres d’Arles and the Institut Français India are calling for applications from lens-based practitioners from South Asia for their Serendipity Arles Grant programme 2023–24. 

The Serendipity Arles Grant is open to the lens-based individual artists or artist collectives (photography, video, new media or other lens-based work), at least 30 years old and residing in the South Asian countries, including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Serendipity Arles grant Phase 1

Phase 1 selects 5 shortlisted projects awarding 70,000 INR (800 EUR approx.) each as a production grant, to showcase their proposed projects as a work in progress display at the sixth edition of Serendipity Arts Festival (SAF) 2023 in Goa, India. The Jury present at the festival will choose one shortlisted projects as the winner.

Serendipity Arles grant Phase 2

Phase 2 awards the selected winner a total of 15,000 EUR and an opportunity to display a solo presentation at Les Rencontres d’Arles in July 2024, Arles, France. 

  •  9,500 EUR Project Development Grant
  • Air Tickets to Arles and back, up to 1,200 EUR 
  • Visa Facilitation Fee
  • 5,000 EUR Production Support 
  • 500 EUR Accommodation Costs
