Setouchi Triennale 2022 - call for proposals
Setouchi Triennale 2022, set on the many beautiful small islands of Japan's Seto Inland Sea, has announced the international call for artists' proposals. Works should be site-specific. Around 5-20 works will be selected, with artists receiving a production fee.
Art Setouchi guidelines sets out the various categories for proposals:
1. Site-specific art works.
2. Site-specific performance and event
3. Project facilitating interaction and exchange
4. Food project (using local ingredients and interacting with local people)
5. Project that promotes local culture
6. Other
Possible sites for artworks are on Naoshima, Shodoshima, Teshima, Inujima, Ojima, Megajima, Oshima, Shamijima, Honjima, Takamijima, Awashima, Ibukijima, Takamatsu Port, Uno Port.
Deadline for proposals: 30 September 2020
(note: the submission period to send applications is 15-30 September; there is an application fee)
