The East Doc Platform 2024

The East Doc Platform invites submissions from filmmakers and producers of documentary projects in any stage of development, production and post-production for their event at the French Institute in Prague, Czech Republic, 22–28 March 2024.

Organised by the Institute of Documentary Film in association with One World Film Festival, the East Doc Platform (EDP) is the largest co-production, funding and distribution platform tailor-made for Central and East European documentaries, every year connecting East European filmmakers and decision makers – producers, broadcasters, distributors and festival programmers – from around the world.

They are currently accepting submissions for the following programmes:

The East Doc Forum is the flagship pitching opportunity for the funding and co-production of projects in the development/early production stage.
The East Doc Market offers curated meetings between filmmakers and decision makers to pitch projects in development/production/post-production stage.
East Doc Interactive, for projects with innovative technologies and new storytelling ways used for immersive, transmedia or interactive storytelling.
Czech Docs: Coming Soon is a presentation dedicated to Czech documentary projects within the East Doc Platform programme.
The East Silver is a unique film market for completed films and rough cuts.

Selected projects are also eligible for the East Doc Platform Award. The East Doc Platform Jury awards the best project in development and production with the East Doc Platform Award and financial prize for further development of the documentary film.
