Turin | open call for CAOS performance artists

caos OPEN CALL 2018 | international - call for emerging artists in fields of performing arts (theatre, dance, performance, multimedia art). Performance opportunity in Turin with facilities offered and modest reimbursement of some costs. No fees offered.

officine CAOS - Turin (IT) (http://www.stalkerteatro.net/torino/foto.htm), an international cross-disciplinary hub for cultural and social innovation, is seeking for emerging artists from abroad, working in the fields of contemporary theatre and dance, performance or multimedia art, in order to present their work during the winter season 2018, from January to April.

We particularly wish to engage with works characterised by a strong commitment to artistic experimentation within socially sensitive or challenging situations.

Schedule
> wednesday: arrival, accommodation
> thursday: setup and rehearsal
> friday: rehearsal and public presentation
> saturday: second public presentation
> sunday: departure

During the same week there will be two companies: a company from Turin and another from abroad. As there is one single theatre space, which is divided in two separate stage spaces (A and B http://www.stalkerteatro.net/immagini/stagecaos.pdf) by only a backdrop, there will be 2 different time slots of around 3h each for the use of the stage during the day of friday. Public presentations will take place on friday and saturday at 21h for the company from Turin and at 22h for the company from abroad.
