UK-Korea Creative Commissions for the climate 2023
The Korea Foundation and the British Council are calling for joint applications from individuals and organisations in the UK and Korea for a Creative Commission exploring climate change through art, science and digital technology.
The commission seeks innovative, interdisciplinary, and collaborative responses to climate change and projects that expand and strengthen collaboration between the two countries. The commission particularly welcomes ideas which specifically engage young people (aged 19–34), whilst recognising the importance of sharing knowledge and experiences across different ages and generations.
The aim of the commission is to stimulate conversations and connections between the UK and Korea, bringing together people, cultures and communities to understand each other’s perspectives and collaborate on creative responses and solutions towards climate change.
Eligibility includes:
- Applications must include at least one partner in Korea and another in the UK and applicants must be living in their respective country
- Applicants can apply for up to 30,000,000 KRW
- There must be one lead Korean partner
- Applicants must be able to demonstrate clear mutual benefit to Korea and the UK
- Applicants can use any platforms to showcase their project idea
- The project needs to be implemented between August and November 2023
- Applicants from a range of different sectors are welcome and encouraged
